Many innocent people and companies find themselves a victim of the website that claims it is “helping you the consumer”. I don’t think it helps the consumers as much as they “the consumer using ROR” and “rip-off report” think. I believe that the “rip off report” website pledge should be changed to something like “Helping Destroy Reputations with Lies”. The fact is most of the complaints on small businesses found on the ripoffreport.com website are false, fake, frivolous, unverified, entries.

The problem with the ripoffreport.com website is anyone with an email address that can type a few words can ruin a businesses reputation and business, simply by making up a bunch of negative lies. To top it off the website’s (ripoffreport.com) attitude toward the businesses that are the true victims of these lies seems to be “There is noting you can do about it” and “We will never remove a complaint even if we know it is a lie”.

I wanted to test how easy it was to make a fake complaint so I created a false complaint against a name that does not exist online. I searched Google for the name I made up and got zero results. I searched everywhere online and got zero results when searching the name. I then went and create an account simply by verifying my email address. I then posted my little FAKE rant about a lady who was writing bad checks. The person’s name I made up is/was Alley Mandooyee. If you search Google for the name I made up: Alley Mandooyee you will see a RipOffReport.com complaint, you can also see the complaint here on the ripoffreport website (assuming they have not removed it).

See, if it is possible to post a completely fake complaint on a completely fake person, don’t you think it would be very easy to make a fake or false complaint about anyone? This is not good. It is something that thousands abuse and thousands are victims of. There should be some type of guidelines or proof of doing business with someone required in order to post a complaint about them. I mean you can go on there right now and say your postman has been stealing your mail, or your local bakery spits in there baked goods.

How can the complaints on ripoffreport.com be taken seriously, if there is no verification process or proof of the complaint? I understand the concept of consumer complaint sites, but the ROR site is defeating the purpose. The purpose should be to find true and accurate information about companies you plan to do business with. In my opinion RipOffReport.com is worthless to consumers and serves only as a playground for trouble makers and extortionists.

Have you found a complaint about you or your company on RipOffReport.com? We can remove rip off report complaints off of top search engine results. Click here for help.

Over 90% of people use search engines to locate products, services, and research information and businesses online. With the growing popularity of search engines and with over 160,000 new blogs & forums hitting the internet each day there has been an increased opportunity for the public to express and vent their views and opinions - the good the bad and the ugly. It is not just the public who are participating. It has been estimated that over half of negative blog and forum entries relating to commercial brands, products, and services are the work of unethical competitors trying to gain an unfair edge over their competition.

There has also been an increase in the number of ‘flame’ sites and complaint portals that have been established and appear within search engine results. These “Complaint Portal” sites allow consumers, competitors, and anyone with internet access to publicly post negative information about companies and individuals. These sites contain unverified and unscreened negative information, reviews, stories, and sometimes flat-out slander about thousands of companies and brands. Some of the most popular sites like these are RipOffReport.com, Complaints.com, My3Cents.com and consumer affairs.com. Many companies find their company name within search results that link to negative information posted on these complaint portals. Try doing a search for your company name or website or even some well known brands like “Walmart” in your favorite search engine and take a look at the results.

There is a way to fight back against this negative publicity and negative search engine results. ReputationArmor.com an internet based reputation management firm offers unique and well planned services that will dilute, remove, and displace negative results found about your company online.

The fact is Reputation Defenders approach to removing negative information just does not work. They cannot even protect their own reputation, if you do a search on their name you see plenty of negative links about them. They send a letter to the owner of the site and there is absolutely nothing to back it up with anything so the end result is the owner of the site gets pissed off and writes more. Reputation Defender sucks. If you use them you will end up with way more bad information then you started out with. If you want links removed there are several reputable companies out there that Use search Engine optimization..

A school teach in VA had a few angry students who happen to be internet savvy. After the students were failed in school the teacher who had a perfect 20 year track record found himself under federal, local, and state investigation for child molestation.

This teacher had a great reputation, but after these students plastered the internet message boards, blogs, forums and social networking sites with a fake and slanderous story about how this teacher made 3 girls in class perform lude acts with him during class and made the boys watch.

The teacher’s home phone number, email address, school number, and home address was published with all of these false posts… The teacher was under fire from thousands of people and parents.. Within 1 month he was under criminal investigation.

After being cleared of the every false claim, he still had to live with the bad reputation that was online.

Or did he?

He did the right thing by contacting a reputation defender a/k/a a reputation management firm.

After 3 months of hard work there was now no trace of these slanders and the teacher can now live in peace after this attempt to ruin his reputation.

Using a reputation defender to remove ripoffreport.com complaints is the most effective way to remove cmoplaints found about your company on ripoffreport.com.

A reputation defenders job is to remove or displace (push back, hide) negative information about you or your company that is found on search engines. If someone searches your company name or web address on a search engine and they find a complaint against you on ripoffreport.com it will hurt your business. This is why a reputation defender / reputation management company can help you.

Removing a ripoff report complaint is not as simple as many think. You can not simple email or call them and request it be removed. Many people that have complaints on ripoffreport.com claim that ripoffreport.com is a scam! They call ripoffreport.com an extortionist.

I could probably show you as many complaints that appear to be completely fabricated, as there are real complaints. Take this one for instance. Do you really think Google’s Sergey Brin would try to lure a 16 year old girl to a hotel?

So, what can you do if you should find yourself the “victim” of a Ripoff Report?
